Internet or No internet in Ugandan elections

The internet plays a vital role in documenting accountability of election results during national elections.

Uganda faced a 4 day internet shut down during the national elections of 2021 until the declaration of results.

From this past experience, many  Ugandans are expecting the same thing to happen in the 2026 national elections. 

However,  the officials representing the body in charge of communications in Uganda, The Ugandan Communications Commission have denied the concerns by the Citizens that there will be an internet shut down.

What makes you realize they will shut down internet is the fact that,they have not got official communications from the Government,meaning the Shut down is coming.

Ugandans have been downloading Bitchat which operates using Bluetooth but not internet, UCC however says it is not as encrypted as the users think.

So the question is,Will Ugandans be ready for another internet shutdown?

THE MAN IN THE IRON LUNGS- PAUL ALEXANDER

 Did you know that the iron lung man still lives on earth in 2023?

His story is both touching and at the same time inspirational.

Paul Alexander was born on 10th January 1946 in  Dallas,Texas in the United States of America.

He was born at the time when there was serious polio outbreak and there was no proper treatment.

In 1952 when  Paul Richard Alexander was six years, he was struck by polio and  he almost died since he had breathing difficulties.

At that time, there was the traditional made iron  lung which could help in breathing  and later a child is removed if he or she normalizes.

But for Paul's condition, he was paralyzed in the whole body except his mouth, neck and shoulder head that he can move.

He had to rely on the iron lung to breathe for his whole life and upto  date 2023, he still lives inside the iron lung although he learnt how to breath for a short while when outside the iron lung.

He is recognized by Guinness World record as the person who has lived for the longest amount of time inside the iron lung.

Although attempts has  been been made to make a modern iron lung for Paul, he doesn't accept to leave the iron lung

His survival is a miracle because many children  were killed by polio at the time when he survived.

Alien Skin dumped Champion Ogudo because of the father's ignorance

 It is no longer news that the talented young singer Champion Ogudo is no longer Living in the premises of sitya danger hit maker Alien Skin.

This came as a result of Alien Skin having  a heated argument with MC kats on tiktok live broadcast when MC Kats questioned and blamed Alien Skin for refusing to allow Champion Ogudo take the scholarship that he was granted at Kampala parents school. 

Alien Skin lost his cool and threatened to take back Champion Ogudo to his home in Kawempe  and he was further moved when the boy's father kept on insisting Alien Skin didn't take Champion Ogudo on his permission but it was only the consent of the mother.All these events might affect the education of this young talented singer. 

But in the latest news, Champion Ogudo's father has gone a head with MC Kats to secure the bursary for Ogudo at Kampala parents school ignoring the previous plan by Alien Skin to educate the boy by himself. 

In the latest development by 1st September 2023Alien Skin however promised to always be checking on Champion Ogudo and his family in Kawempe because he later realized alot of  problems of the father eventhough he shouts.

The question is "where was Champion Ogudo's father before his boy became famous?"

He had abandoned the family and gone his own way but now he is talking confidently like a responsible father and yet not at all.

CHAMPION OGUDO PERFORMANCE IN KOLOLO

 Champion Ogudo who is trending of recent and signed to Alien Skin's Fangone forest is good in stage performance. 

This was witnessed in Kololo during the rotary cancer run when Alien Skin handed over the microphone to him and he never disappointed the fans.

ALIEN SKIN EXCITES FANS IN KOLOLO

 It was on Sunday 27th August 2023 when the rotary cancer run which takes place every last Sunday of August every year was taking place. 

It so happened that the artist who would perform to end this great ceremony was Alien Skin and this was a perfect choice. 

Alien Skin is undoubtedly one of the most trending artists in Uganda in 2023 and almost every entertainment center wants to book him for a show. 

He staged a very powerful and energetic performance in Kololo on 27th August 2023 and fans where left wanting more because he performed for only about 15 minutes and went away.

Fans showed him great love and everyone atleast wanted to touch his hands while on stage and everyone's smartphone was up to shoot  a selfie video that they where with Alien Skin.

Meanwhile one Youtuber instead focused on filming the performance of Alien Skin  and here is the video that showed how he performed.

ALIEN SKIN INTRODUCES CHAMPION OGUDO ON STAGE IN KOLOLO

 Alien Skin introduced Champion Ogudo to perform live on stage in Kololo on 27th August 2023 during the closing ceremony of Rotary Cancer run 2023.

Alien Skin had first of all come on stage to perform to the fans who had waited patiently for him after being upset with delaying tactics of the MC who could announce Alien Skin coming up several times and yet he was nowhere to be seen.

After a lively performance for about 8 minutes, Alien Skin handed over the microphone to champion Ogudi his child rapper and the boy didn't disappoint.
